Ballistic Test for Civilian Firearm

Before issuance of a firearms license by the Firearms Licensing Board (FLB), it is mandatory for the applicant who has met the application criteria under Cap 114 Laws of Kenya to submit his or her firearm(s) to the Ballistics laboratory for;

  1. Recording in the Fire Cycle System
  2. Test firing and ballistics data capture in the IBIS system

A Ballistic Test Certificate (BTC) is thereby issued by the Director DCI as a prove of such undertaking.

WHAT TO DO?

The firearm holder presents him/herself with the firearm(s) to the National Forensic Lab-Ballistic section at DCI Headquarters.
