TWO SUSPECTS BEHIND ORGANISED CRIME ARRESTED IN TRANS NZOIA

Law enforcement officers in Trans Nzoia County have apprehended two suspects for their involvement in organised criminal activities, recovering weapons from their possession.

Acting on intelligence, police officers from Kitale Police Station joined forces with a team of officers from DCI Headquarters, executing a well-coordinated raid in Chebarus and Kibomet areas of Trans Nzoia West Sub-County, leading to the swift arrest of Dickson Wamocho and Frank Kuyala.

The meticulous search that followed yielded a military-style tactical uniform, two pairs of combat boots, a sword, metal rods, and several mobile phones, all suspected of being utilised in criminal activities.

The suspects are now in lawful custody, undergoing processing pending arraignment. All seized items have been secured as exhibits.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reaffirms its commitment to dismantling organised criminal networks through intelligence-led operations. Members of the public are urged to continue supporting law enforcement agencies by sharing credible information.

About

The establishment, development and growth of Criminal Investigations Department can be traced to the evolvement of the Kenya Police to which it remains one of the key formations. The first police officers were recruited in 1887 by the Imperial British East Africa Company, I.B.E.A. to provide security for stores in Mombasa. It was from these humble beginnings that the Kenya Police was born.
