SUSPECT IN CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CASE ARRAIGNED

Noel Naliaka Ndinyo, a key suspect long sought by authorities for her alleged role in distributing child pornographic materials, has been arraigned.

Her arrest came after the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) flagged a Snapchat account tied to Naliaka’s email address as a hub for sharing illegal content.

Acting on this lead, detectives from the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit in Mombasa launched a meticulous operation, ultimately apprehending Naliaka at her hideout in Nyali Sub-County.

Appearing before the Shanzu Law Court, Naliaka was charged with multiple offences, including Online Child Exploitation Contrary to Section 22(3)(c) of the Children’s Act No. 29 of 2022. She pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Investigators strongly opposed her release on bond, and the court has scheduled May 9, 2025, for a ruling on bond terms.

About

The establishment, development and growth of Criminal Investigations Department can be traced to the evolvement of the Kenya Police to which it remains one of the key formations. The first police officers were recruited in 1887 by the Imperial British East Africa Company, I.B.E.A. to provide security for stores in Mombasa. It was from these humble beginnings that the Kenya Police was born.
