CRACKDOWN ON CRIMINAL GANGS

Law enforcement officers in Malindi have arrested 18 suspects in a crackdown targeting criminal gangs that have been terrorising residents in the town and its surrounding areas.

The police raid, conducted in Muyeye and Milano, saw officers recover stolen mobile phones, a television set, and crude weapons believed to have been used in the suspects’ violent escapades.

The suspects are in custody as investigators process them ahead of their arraignment.

During this festive season, the National Police Service reiterates its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, ensuring communities across the country celebrate in peace.
