National Anti-Narcotics Investigations Bureau (NANIB) detectives stationed at Narok Police Station have apprehended three traffickers and seized cannabis sativa valued at approximately Sh3.3 million.

Acting on credible intel, the detectives launched a meticulously coordinated raid within the Narok main quarry area, targeting makeshift structures that harboured the illicit goods.

The operation bore fruit as they netted three suspects: Joel Rimin Koisikir, Hassan Mukaria Jackson, and Robert Turgut Kipkoech.

Upon their arrest, detectives unearthed 19 packages of cannabis sativa, tipping the scales at 118.6 kilograms, valued at approximately Sh3,358,000 in the streets.

The operation not only recovered a substantial quantity of narcotic drugs but also led to the recovery of assorted packing materials used for the illicit trade.

The suspects are currently in custody and undergoing processing before their impending arraignment. Meanwhile, the seized narcotics have been securely detained as exhibits.
