𝗗𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗘 (𝗞) 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗨𝗗 𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗟

Detectives from the DCI Headquarters’ Land Fraud Investigations Unit (LFIU) have apprehended Denis Okioyi Moseti, one of the Directors of Celestial Trade (K) Limited, in connection to a land fraud scandal.

The arrest was triggered by a complaint lodged at the DCI headquarters, where the complainants asserted their rightful ownership of a parcel of land measuring approximately 40.46 hectares in Kahawa West, Kiambu County. They claimed to have acquired this property directly from the government.

However, complications arose when Celestial Trade (K) Limited emerged, presenting a Deed Plan that laid claim to part of the parcel of land. 

This prompted an investigation, which revealed that the deed plan in question, attributed to Celestial Trade (K) Limited for a parcel measuring about 6.790 hectares, had been fraudulently obtained.

Following a thorough investigation, the case file was submitted to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP). The ODPP subsequently directed that the directors of Celestial Trade (K) Limited face charges of Conspiracy to Defraud, Forgery, and Obtaining Registration by False Pretences.

As a result, Denis Okioyi Moseti, being one of the company directors, was arrested today at Ankara Hotel within Nairobi's Central Business District. He is currently in custody undergoing processing pending arraignment. 

Meanwhile, detectives are evaluating a report that indicates that the other two directors are deceased, with a view of making the necessary recommendations to the court through the ODPP.

This case highlights the DCI’s ongoing efforts through LFIU to combat land fraud and protect the rights of legitimate property owners in Kenya.
