ELEVEN GANG MEMBERS NABBED IN KIMININI CRACKDOWN

Kiminini Sub-County Law Enforcement officers have apprehended eleven individuals linked to the criminal gang known as Mbogi Yaadu.

For a while, the gang wreaked havoc on the peaceful residents of Kiminini, terrorising the communities of Birunda, Kiungani, and neighbouring areas.

The arrest unfolded as officers launched a decisive crackdown to restore safety and security to the region. During the raid, officers recovered weapons, including bows, arrows, machetes, and knives, which the gang has been using to instil fear among innocent citizens.

The suspects are now behind bars, undergoing processing, pending arraignment at the Kitale Law Courts.

About

The establishment, development and growth of Criminal Investigations Department can be traced to the evolvement of the Kenya Police to which it remains one of the key formations. The first police officers were recruited in 1887 by the Imperial British East Africa Company, I.B.E.A. to provide security for stores in Mombasa. It was from these humble beginnings that the Kenya Police was born.
