CRACKDOWN ON CRIMINAL GANGS

In a joint crackdown on criminal gangs, Law Enforcement Officers from Endebess Sub-County have dismantled a notorious criminal gang known as the ‘Kapenguria Six’.

The six, Juma Wanjala, Samson Kapolon Ewoi, Thomas Esakon Lorongoi, Linus Wekesa Wasilwa, Moses Kisuya Wekesa, and Ezra Simiyu Nyongesa, have been wreaking havoc on innocent citizens of Kaisheber, Nabeki, Cherubai, and surrounding areas.

During the arrests, officers recovered a military jungle belt, a beret, and three pangas, exposing the gang's readiness for violence.

The six are currently in police custody, undergoing processing as they await their day in court.

About

The establishment, development and growth of Criminal Investigations Department can be traced to the evolvement of the Kenya Police to which it remains one of the key formations. The first police officers were recruited in 1887 by the Imperial British East Africa Company, I.B.E.A. to provide security for stores in Mombasa. It was from these humble beginnings that the Kenya Police was born.
