SUSPECTS IN NAKURU'S SABA SABA VIOLENCE ARRESTED, ARRAIGNED
Today in Nakuru County, a total of 192 suspects arrested for various offences committed during the Saba Saba demonstrations yesterday were arraigned at various courts.
17 suspects arrested in Gilgil for obstructing police officers on duty were presented before the Chief Magistrate's Court, Naivasha, and were released on Sh 50,000 cash bail each. At the same court, another 67 suspects arrested in Naivasha were arraigned charged with various counts, of whom 13 were accused of breaking into a building and committing a felony. They were released on Sh 200,000 cash bail.
Elsewhere in Nakuru East, 84 suspects were charged at the CM's court, where 6 others including two teenagers arrested in Nakuru West yesterday were also arraigned. 10 suspects arrested in Subukia were arraigned in a Nyahururu court.
Arraigned at the Molo CM's court were Lucy Minayo, 20, Joseph Mburu Thuo, 22, Brigid Cherop, 23, Boniface Wesonga, 20, Cecilia Wangui, 24, Solomon Mwaura, 20, Daniel Michemo, 25, and Javan Kiragu, 22. A miscellaneous application by the police to hold them for 10 days to complete investigations was granted by the court.
