8TH EAST AFRICAN POLICE CHIEFS MEETING
The Director DCI Mr Mohamed Amin today affirmed the Directorate's commitment to continue partnering with security stakeholders of the East African member states for the safety of our region.
Mr Amin pledged this while making his remarks during the 8th Meeting of the East African Community Chiefs of Police which commenced today in Dar es Salaam.
The session today assembled Directors of DCI/CID, Immigration, Prisons and Corrections, and Registrars of Motor Vehicles who delved into the pertinent issues such as the implementation of the decisions of the 7th Meeting of Police Chiefs.
Further, the directors discussed the region's mutual concern of human and narcotics trafficking before concluding the session by reviewing the Regional Centre of Small Arms report on implementation of the Nairobi Protocol in the East African Community Region.
The meeting which brings together police chiefs from different countries to discuss in depth the security affairs of the region is scheduled to run to the 26th of October.
