Police Clearance Certificate
- Make sure you have an eCitizen account or create one through the portal and login.
- Read the instructions carefully then make the application, (Adult application).
- Select area/location of fingerprinting.
- Select the mode of payment and pay for the police Clearance.
- Download and print two (2) copies of your invoice, and one copy of your C24 on both sides On an A4 paper
- Present the C24 and invoices with an original National ID for adults, to the respective area of Fingerprinting as per the choice made in application (appearing in C24) e.g. HUDUMA CENTRE / DCI HEADQUARTERS for fingerprint recording and processing
- Once the certificate is ready, you will receive an SMS notification to download it from your ecitizen account.
- The Minor (applicant) MUST be NOT less than 16 years old and NOT more than 17 years old.
- Minors will make application through the parent/guardian ecitizen account (below 18 years option).
- Present the C24, invoices and original birth certificate to the respective area of Fingerprinting as per the choice made in application (appearing in C24) e.g. HUDUMA CENTRE / DCI HEADQUARTERS for fingerprint recording and processing.
- Once the certificate is ready, you will receive an SMS notification to download it from your ecitizen account.
- Use the link dci.ecitizen.go.ke
- Sign up as a foreign resident (those with Alien ID) / visitor (Those without Alien ID)
- Login and click on the Police Clearance Certificate service.
- Upload relevant documents as per your immigration status (i.e Work permit/ Dependant Pass/ Student Pass/ Diplomat/ Visitor/ Stateless) providing proof of residence in Kenya for 6 months or more and wait for approval (If declined, make needed correction).
- Select the mode of payment and pay for the police Clearance.
- Download and print two (2) copies of your invoice, and one copy of your C24 on both sides On an A4 paper.
- Present the C24 and invoices with an original passport and attached documents to the respective area of Fingerprinting as per the choice made in application (appearing in C24) e.g. HUDUMA CENTRE / DCI HEADQUARTERS for fingerprint recording and processing.
- Once the certificate is ready, you will receive an SMS notification to download it from your ecitizen account.
- Shall make application through Refugee Affairs Secretariat (RAS).
- Must present him/herself with a certified copy of his country’s passport with documentary prove that he /she ever resided in Kenya for 6 months or more.
- Must pay prescribed amount or its equivalent and obtain the official receipt from our foreign mission.
- Must allow his/her fingerprints and palm prints to be recorded and certified on a prescribed form at the nearest Police Station in the present country of residence.
- The application consisting of original payment receipt, certified copy of passport, document of prove of resident in Kenya and fingerprints must be forwarded officially with a covering letter from the official fingerprinting agency or Kenyan mission to DCI Headquarters Nairobi-Kenya.
