DOZENS ARRAIGNED OVER VIOLENT SABA SABA PROTESTS IN ELDORET, LAIKIPIA, NAROK AND KAJIADO
Dozens of suspects linked to the violent Saba Saba demonstrations have today been arraigned in various courts across the country.
In Eldoret, 36 individuals who were arrested yesterday while participating in the protests appeared before the Eldoret Law Courts.
In Laikipia, 109 suspects were similarly arraigned and each granted a cash bail of KSh 50,000. They have since been remanded at Nanyuki GK Prison, with their cases scheduled for mention on July 27 and 31, 2025.
Elsewhere in Narok, 23 suspects were arraigned before the Narok Law Courts.
Meanwhile, in Kajiado, 19 suspects have been presented before the Chief Magistrate Ngong law court today, where detectives were granted a four-day custodial order. The suspects will appear for plea-taking on July 14, 2025.
